The brass is bold and warm, reflecting the sunlight or bringing a golden glow to grey days.\n\n'Heka', an Ancient Egyptian word usually translates as 'Magic' or 'Magical Power'. Ancient Egyptians believed Heka was the primordial force present at the creation of the world, that it could be given from one person to another, and that its primary role was to preserve the natural world order. \n\nThe brass is hand beaten on a weathered, antique anvil, giving a uniquely glittering texture. It is solid and raw, and can be left to weather naturally or kept to a glittering shine by occasional polishing. The French hook style ear wire is also solid brass, and completely hypoallergenic. For super sensitive ears please select the Gold Plated Hooks option when ordering. \n\nThe beading is worked in reclaimed silk as standard, or you can select the Organic Cotton option when ordering, for a fully vegan option. My jewellery is plastic free, as are my postage and packaging materials.
