These colourful, shimmering earrings are made from solid brass, reclaimed silk and Japanese glass in beautiful Cornwall (Pictured worn in Pearl Lustred 'Alabaster'). They are inspired by the magic and mystery of Ancient Jewellery, and the lyrical glamour of the Art Deco Ancient Egyptian revival. This translucent, frosted teal colourway is named 'Delta' after the beautiful delta region of the ancient Northern Nile: Part solid papyrus forest, part aquatic ecosystem, essential to life. The brass is hand beaten on series of anvils (the oldest mid Victorian), giving a uniquely glittering texture.
This is the shorter, stud version, which has a gold plated surgical steel ear post.
Dimensions: 15 x 48mm Individual earring weight: 1.6g
This range is inspired by the colours and textures of ancient Egyptian jewellery, and the shape is reminiscent of a Pharoah's ceremonial flail. Bold and warm, the reflect the Summer sun or bringing a golden glow to grey days. All my jewellery is plastic free, as are my postage materials. The beaten brass is solid and raw, and can be left to weather naturally or kept to a shine by occasional cleaning with a jewellery cleaning cloth (One provided with every order). For my vegan option of Organic Cotton, please select this option and these will be handmade to order for you. By shopping with us you are supporting a small group of parents who work flexibly in our rural Cornish village. We work around our children, support each other, and we love what we do.
