Maidenhair ferns are associated with the ancient Greek goddess Aphrodite (and the Roman equivalent Venus) and are symbols of beauty, victory, love, and female fertility. They are said to have sprung from the Goddess' hair, hence the name! Our light and ethereal ‘Gossamer’ collection are cut from eco-friendly stainless steel, which is strong enough to form the very finest filigree shapes, or high quality hypoallergenic brass, before being beautifully textured on a series of anvils, the oldest of which is around 170 years old! This collection is inspired by delicate, woodland forms, the half light of dawn and dusk, and continues our themes of botanical treasures and ancient classical mythology.
