Welcome to our light and ethereal ‘Gossamer’ collection. The earrings are cut from eco-friendly stainless steel, which is strong enough to form the very finest filigree shapes, before being beautifully textured on a series of anvils. This collection is inspired by delicate, woodland forms, the half light of dawn and dusk, and continues our themes of botanical sprigs and ancient classical mythology. Our 'Lexie' earrings are classic twinkling stars, delicate and beautifully textured. Threaders are wonderfully versatile, as they can be worn as long or short as the wearer chooses, or even asymmetrically. They can be worn anywhere from 16mm to 80mm in length. The most petite style in this collection, they are subtle and an easy gift choice. In ancient mythology the stars are associated with night time divinations, and we certainly think these are dreamy! Stainless steel is quickly becoming a highly popular choice among jewellery makers. It has long been valued for strength, shine, hygiene, and tarnish resistance. It can be endlessly recycled, and is considered one of the most sustainable and eco-friendly metals in common use. Its colour is very similar to sterling silver, and it is hard enough to be cut into the gossamer light shapes you see here… in fact, it is so strong it can be tricky to texture on our anvils, but my goodness its worth it. Our oldest anvil is around 150 years old, and its still going very strong. The threader parts are hypoallergenic, jewellery quality stainless steel. Earrings and ear wires can be easily replaced should you lose one, so do get in touch if you need anything.
